Two students who are hoping for a host family before this weekend

Bring the world to your home! Become a CIEE host family

Although we have successfully found homes for many of our students, we are still hoping to find host families for these two young ambassadors of peace.

A 16-year old German girl who is a dancer and is an active volleyball and tennis player. Her favorite subjects, at the gymnasium where she attends school, are art and phys ed. She also enjoys the science of psychology and thinks this may be her major after she graduates from high school. When she's not at school, playing sports, she enjoys time with family and friends. After having travelled a bit in her young life (Austria, Italy, France, Portugal, Great Britain, and Spain) she is looking forward to a cultural and educational experience with a family here in the United States. Can you say, "Kommen!" ?

A 17-year old boy from China says that math, physics, and English are his favorite subjects. He is a member of a basketball team and a computer club. He speaks Mandarin and thinking that he would like to teach Chinese to students or volunteer for a neighborhood beautification project in his host community in the United States. This bright and talented young man is hoping to hear " 欢迎 " from Santa Fe!

Please let me know if you or someone you know is a family willing to host either of these students and help bring diversity to our Santa Fe schools and community.

Welcoming an exchange student to your family is like opening a window to a different world. You and your family will not only gain a new family member, you will also learn about a different culture -- its values and traditions.
